Evolución del cluster textil al cluster sanitario en la Comunidad Valenciana por el COVID-19

Abstract

[ES] El sector textil de la Comunidad Valenciana, es una industria productiva de larga tradición y desde hace ya varias décadas que se encuentra enfocado principalmente a los textiles de aplicación en el hogar. La llegada en el primer trimestre de 2020 del COVID-19 y la situación de pandemia que sufre nuestro país y el resto del planeta, ha dejado desprovisto de material de protección a los sanitarios por la escasez de stock y la necesidad de dotar de los mismos a todos los habitantes. Este nuevo escenario ha hecho reaccionar a las industrias textiles de nuestro entorno adaptando sus procesos productivos al desarrollo de materiales sanitarios que vengan a paliar el problema actual. El TFM tiene como objetivo analizar los nuevos nichos de mercado de las empresas del sector textil principalmente en la Comunidad Valenciana. Se analizará el origen del sector textil, su posible transformación, las nuevas propiedades y aplicaciones que se les está dando debido a la situación que estamos sufriendo por el Covid-19, con la ayuda del Instituto Tecnológico del Textil AITEX, para la fabricación de material sanitario.

[EN] The textile sector of Comunidad Valenciana is a productive industry with a long tradition. Since several decades it has been focused mainly on home application textiles. The arrival of the COVID-19 on the first quarter of 2020 and the pandemic situation that our country and the rest of the planet suffer, has left the sanitary personnel without protection material due to the shortage of stock and the necessity to suply this material to all the inhabitants. This new state has forced a reaction form the textile industries of our environment, adapting their production processes to the development of sanitary materials that will be able to alleviate the current problem. This end-of-master project's thesis is to analyze the new market niche of companies in the textile sector, mainly in Comunidad Valenciana. We will analyze the origin of the textile sector, its possible transformation and the new properties and applications given to them due to the situation that we are suffering because of the Covid-19, with the help of the AITEX Textile Technological Institute for the manufacture of material sanitary.
