LA TETRALOGÍA DE LOS CUATRO ELEMENTOS

Abstract

[ES] Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado consiste en la elaboración de ocho piezas cerámicas, relacionadas entre sí, tratando el tema de los cuatro elementos: Tierra, agua, fuego y aire. La obra consiste en cuatro piezas de estilo clásico y cuatro más de inspiración contemporánea, que representan los elementos citados, la intención es que las piezas muestren estilos distintos de la pintura cerámica; pues las clásicas mostrarán un concepto de cerámica más tradicional, inspirándose en el estilo pictórico cerámico de las piezas pintadas en Alcora durante el siglo XVIII. Mientras que las contemporáneas tendrán un carácter más experimental y expresivo. Hemos realizado estas obras con la ayuda de dos empresas cerámicas; Art Antic y Alcora la ilustre cerámica. Dichas empresas nos han proporcionado los materiales principales y cedido sus instalaciones, permitiéndonos trabajar con total libertad. A lo largo del proceso, se ha recurrido a la tradicional técnica de pintura cerámica Alcorina, en las representaciones más clásicas y figurativas, sobre su soporte; planchas de loza bizcochada y posteriormente esmaltadas en blanco sin ningún tipo de relieve; y, en paralelo, se ha realizado una experimentación con las técnicas cerámica y pictórica, investigando texturas y relaciones cromáticas en función de cada elemento referenciado, en las obras contemporáneas

[EN] This Final Degree Project consists of the elaboration of eight ceramic pieces, related to each other, dealing with the theme of the four elements: Earth, water, fire and air. The work consists of four classic-style pieces and four more of a contemporary style, these represent the aforementioned elements, the intention is that the pieces show different styles of ceramic painting; the classic ones will show a more traditional concept, being inspired by the ceramic pictorial style of the pieces painted in Alcora during the 18th century. While the contemporary ones will have a more experimental and expressive character. We have carried out these works with the help of two ceramic companies: Art Antic and Alcora la ilstrustre cerámica. These companies have provided us with the main materials and have given their facilities up, allowing us to work with complete freedom. Throughout the process, the traditional Alcorina ceramic painting technique has been used, in the most classical and figurative representations, on its support; plates of bisqued earthenware and later enameled in white without any type of relief; and, in parallel, an experimentation with ceramic and pictorial techniques has been carried out, investigating textures and chromatic relationships based on each referenced element, in the contemporary works.
