Proyecto de intervención paisajista y espacio gastronómico en Gestalgar (Valencia)

Abstract

[ES] A orillas del río Turia y sobre las faldas del Alto Gaspar se asienta el municipio de Gestalgar. Con una población de 556 habitantes (INE 2019) y una densidad de población inferior a ocho habitantes por metro cuadrado, el municipio sufre un proceso de despoblación creciente, influenciado por la estacionalidad demográfica y la pérdida de identidad.

Frente a esta situación de caída poblacional y desapego al patrimonio local, se propone un proyecto de intervención paisajista que mejore el entorno urbano y residencial, a través de un recorrido en el borde norte de Gestalgar, desde la Era enladrillada hasta la subida al castillo de Los Murones, donde se busca canalizar el agua de escorrentía hacia la acequia madre, sirviendo de apoyo al azud y recuperando el fluir del agua en superficie y el riego a manta de la huerta del lugar. El recorrido paisajístico continúa desde la subida al castillo hasta el jardín del Trinquete, donde se plantea un espacio gastronómico ampliando el actual albergue municipal de Peña María.

Con el objetivo de atraer población joven y generar un punto turístico gastronómico, se propone un complejo gastronómico que incluya la actual oferta de alojamiento rural y la amplíe con una escuela de cocina con estancia permanente, formación hostelera local y una puesta en valor de la huerta de Gestalgar con un espacio de restauración.

[EN] On the banks of the Turia River and on the slopes of the Alto Gaspar, the municipality of Gestalgar settles. With a population of 556 dwellers (INE 2019) and a population density of less than eight dwellers per square metre, the municipality is undergoing a growing depopulation process, influenced by demographic seasonality and loss of identity.

Faced with this situation of population decline and detachment from local heritage, a landscape intervention project is proposed to improve the urban and residential environment, through a route on the northern edge of Gestalgar, from the threshing floor of brick to the climb to the castle of Los Murones, where the aim is to channel runoff water towards the irrigation ditch, serving as a support for the weir and recovering the flow of water on the surface and the flush irrigation of the local garden. The landscape route continues from the climb to the castle to the Trinquete garden, where a gastronomic space is planned, expanding the current municipal hostel of Peña María.

In order to attract a young people and generate a gastronomic tourist point, a gastronomic complex is proposed that includes the current offer of rural accommodation and extends it with a culinary school with permanent stay, local restaurant training and an enhancement of the Gestalgar¿s orchard and vegetable garden, with a restaurant space.
