A la mar

Abstract

[ES] Un antiguo astillero de Santa Pola, en primera línea del mar, se someterá a un proceso de transformación o aprovechamiento para que todo el espacio que en su día albergó industria naval tenga una segunda vida. Se proyectará un nuevo espacio reciclado de diferentes usos: salas de exposiciones, zona I+D+I y una escuela taller de trabajos de pesca y carpintería de ribera de embarcaciones (trabajos de tradición de Santa Pola). Todos estos usos convivirán en ese antiguo astillero del cual se respetará la estructura, como gesto de lo que hubo y acto casi escultórico en esta arquitectura, ya que desde cualquier visual de este contenedor cultural se podrá ver ese esqueleto y por ente ese antiguo astillero. Por otro lado el solar, ubicado entre playas, es un emplazamiento privilegiado para crear una nueva zona de ocio de hostelería y deportes náuticos, dispersando así la actividad a lo largo del paseo marítimo.

[EN] A former shipyard in Santa Pola, on the seafront, will undergo a process of transformation so that all the space that once housed the shipbuilding industry has a second life. A new recycled space of different uses will be planned: exhibition halls, research and development area and a workshop school of fishing jobs and boat-bank carpentry (santa Pola tradition works). All these uses will coexist in that old shipyard. The structure will be respected : sign of what there was and almost sculptural act in this architecture, because from any visual of this cultural container you will be able to see that skeleton of the old shipyard. On the other hand the plot, located between beaches, is a privileged location to create a new leisure area of restaurants and nautical sports, dispersing the activity along the promenade.
