| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The present-day rise of realistic computer animation in Western commercial cinema has aroused admiration among critics and the guild of animators, as well as some concern for proponents of traditional modes of cartoon animation and stop-motion puppet animation. Concerns which are transferred to the general public, the same audiences which many commercial studios consider indifferent to traditional animation. However, a timid resurgence of traditional animation has also been observed in recent times, with proposals that rival in attractiveness with other digital realistic animation titles. In this current context of struggle between these two factions for cultural relevance will the present research work develop, providing an analysis of three key films of contemporary animation. Through the immersion in the rich fantasy universes of these three innovative films, an attempt will be made to discover the logic behind the magic of their animation, the why and how of its charm. Finally, this work will advocate for a model of idealistic animation where technical prowess is subordinated to the artist's vision, a model which truly exploits the aesthetic richness of the animated film medium and makes man master and sovereign of the creative machine, rather than the opposite. | es_ES |
