Neuroarquitectura y arquitectura emocional. Estrategias proyectuales para la generación del futuro.

Abstract

[ES] “Como en casa en ningún sitio’’, todos hemos oído alguna vez esta expresión, o la hemos sentido al volver a casa; pero ¿Qué es lo que crea exactamente esa sensación? La respuesta está relacionada en gran parte con recientes campos de estudio sobre la arquitectura emocional y la neuroarquitectura. La neuroarquitectura investiga como el cerebro in- terpreta un espacio y como éste influye psicoemocionalmente en el individuo. Hoy en día se abre una nueva tendencia a proyectar “basada en las sensaciones” que provoca un espacio. Éstas se clavan en la memoria, transformando la experiencia temporal en permanente. Estímulos usados hasta la fecha en la proyección de espacios comerciales como estrategia de marketing, son reclamados ahora como estrategia para el confort y mejora de nuestras vidas. Todo apunta a que estamos en un momento óptimo para encarar esta seductora posibilidad: replantear el diálogo entre nuestra mente y el espacio físico que habitamos. En caso de lograrlo, en unos cuantos años podríamos estar programando recintos que faciliten ciertas funciones cognitivas, favoreciendo así la recuperación de la salud -en el caso de lugares dedicados a la sanación-, el aprendizaje y concentración -dentro de escuelas y acade- mias-, y la creatividad -en talleres artísticos-1. Como proyecto reciente: Análisis de la incidencia del diseño de espacios hospitalarios en la mejora del bienestar de los pacientes mediante neurotecnología inmersiva que tiene como objetivo identificar criterios de diseño que aumenten el bienestar de los usuarios de diferentes salas del servicio de maternidad de la HUP/IIS La Fe mediante el uso de Neu- rotecnologías Inmersivas. (Grupo de Investigación Neuroarquitectura LENI y la colaboración de Abengochea Cotaina, Antonio, 2014) Esta investigación tiene por objetivo encontrar puntos de convergencia entre la neuroarquitectura y la arquitectura emocional para establecer estrategias proyectuales que atiendan a las preocupaciones de la generación venidera. Se establece una clasificación de la arquitectura en tres tipologías: la que vivimos, la que visitamos y la que soñamos. Se identificarán las necesidades propias de cada una de ellas, cuya consideración en el proceso proyectual permitirá mejorar la calidad de vida.

[EN] ”There is no place like home”, all we have ever heard this expression, or we have got this feeling when getting back home but, what is exactly what creates that feeling? The answer is largely associated with recent fields of study on the emotional architecture and the neuroarchitecture. The neuroarchitecture studies how the brain interprets a space and how it influences psychoemotionally in the individual. Nowadays, a brand new trend to project appears, based on the feelings that a concrete space provokes. All these feelings get stuck in our memory, transforming a temporal experience into permanent. Stimulus used to date in the projection of commercial spaces as marketing strategy, they are now claimed as a strategy to improve our lives. All indications are that we are at an optimum time to deal with this seductive possibility: rethink the dialogue be- tween our mind mind and the physical space we inhabit.
