Still Life: Encara Viu.Versions actuals dels bodegons espanyols del segle XVII

Abstract

[CA] Still Life: Encara Viu és un treball teòric-pràctic que pretén recuperar el bodegó espanyol del segle XVII mitjançant versions on es combina classicisme i contemporaneïtat. Farem un repàs de la vida a l'Espanya del Segle d'Or, des de les perspectives socials, polítiques i artístiques. A continuació farem un salt fins al segle XX, on les avantguardes van canviar el rumb de l'art i l'aparició del plàstic transformaria la nostra vida quotidiana. Analitzarem alguns dels pintors de bodegons més importants del segle XVII a Espanya i pegarem una ullada a artistes del segle XXI que realitzen versions a partir de referents clàssics. Per últim presentaré una sèrie de pintures on es versionen bodegons espanyols del segle XVII, tenint com a referència obres de Juan Sánchez Cotán, Juan van der Hamen, Tomás Hiepes, Francisco Barrera i Pedro de Camprobín. La iconografia d'aquestes natures mortes es traslladen al marc actual, substituint objectes, aliments i paisatges, però mantenint l'esperit dels mestres

[EN] Still Life: Still Alive is a theoretical-practical work that aims to recover the Spanish still life of the seventeenth century through versions where classicism and contemporaneity are combined. We will review life in Spain in the Golden Age, from the social, political and artistic perspectives. Next we will take a leap into the 20th century, where the vanguards changed the course of art and the appearance of plastic would transform our daily lives. We will analyze some of the most important still life painters of the 17th century in Spain and we will take a look at 21st century artists who make versions based on classic references. Finally, I will present a series of paintings where seventeenthcentury Spanish still life are covered, with reference to works by Juan Sánchez Cotán, Juan van der Hamen, Tomás Hiepes, Francisco Barrera and Pedro de Camprobín. The iconography of these still lifes is transferred to the current setting, replacing objects, food and landscapes, but keeping the masters' spirit.
