Híbrido en La Torre: SØSTER.

Abstract

[ES] Soster en noruego significa comunidad, hermandad¿ El proyecto se trata de un equipamiento localizado en La Torre, Valencia. Se trata de un núcleo de población muy marcado por su relación con la Avenida Real de Madrid. Este eje, determina en cierta medida el desarrollo urbanístico de la población, pero también supone una barrera que divide las dos partes a cada lado. Se busca por lo tanto generar un espacio vinculado a la avenida que sirva a la población y al mismo tiempo que sirva de punto de unión y que permita conectar partes dispersas de La Torre, logrando un núcleo urbano más relacionado con si mismo y con su entorno. Al tratarse de un equipamiento urbano está pensado principalmente para los habitantes del municipio, pero debido a la comunicación con la ciudad y otras poblaciones cercanas por medio del transporte público, también puede acoger a usuarios que no sean exclusivamente de La Torre. Busca ser un equipamiento que favorezca la vida urbana, produciendo un espacio público vinculado a un mercado accesible a todos y al mismo tiempo se convierta en un punto destacado en la zona para realizar actividades culturales y/o deportivas. Estos tres usos principales se dividen en dos volúmenes diferenciados que se asocian a las medianeras existentes dejando en el centro de la parcela un espacio libre para zonas verdes y espacios comunitarios al aire libre. El volumen asociado al mercado se encuentra al sur de la parcela y el otro, en el que se desarrollan las funciones culturales y deportivas en la parte norte. En la fachada que da al Camí Real, se rompe con la ordenación del resto de la manzana y se crea una abertura que abre el acceso a la plaza interior. Dando así un espacio público a la ciudad. Del mismo modo en la fachada que da a la calle XXXX también se crea dicha abertura, pero en menor medida debido a la menor concurrencia de esta via. En cuanto al programa, en el bloque de mercado, que se trata de una gran nave, podemos encontrar también una cafeteria y una zona de degustación. Los puestos del mercado cuentan con espacio para el almacenaje y la refrigeración. Los forjados de estos puestos que cuelgan del forjado principal de la nave que forma el mercado, sirven a su vez de pasarela en la que se desarrolla parte del espacio gastronómico. La cafeteria se encuentra en un volumen que sale de la nave principal remarcando uno de sus accesos. El volumen cultural-deportivo se divide en dos bloques: una biblioteca y unas aulas polivalentes y adaptables para realizar actividades deportivas como danza, artes marciales, yoga o pilates. La planta baja, más diáfana, alberga un espacio de coworking y unas oficinas de atención ciudadana, así como un espacio polivalente con diversos usos como exposiciones o actos culturales. El acceso a este volumen se encuentra en la intersección entre los dos usos principales, a través de un espacio a doble altura. Los dos volúmenes (mercado y cultural-deportivo) están unidos por una serie de pasarelas ligeras a dos alturas que sirven como tanto de generadores de espacios cubiertos como de recorridos entre los volúmenes. En cuanto a la materialidad, el proyecto tiene una estrucutra porticada. Los elementos verticales estarán conformados por perfiles metálicos y los horizontales de hormigón armado. Las particiones interiores serán de paneles de yeso laminado que garanticen el aislamiento térmico y acustico necesario. Los cerramientos de fachada serán de hormigón o de vidrio y para el control solar se utilizarán elementos de filtración de la luz. Dicho sistema será definitivo en fases posteriores del proyecto.

[EN] Soster in Norwegian means community, brotherhood ... The project is about a facility located in La Torre, Valencia. It is a population center very marked by its relationship with Avenida Real de Madrid. This axis determines to a certain extent the urban development of the population, but it also represents a barrier that divides the two parts on each side. Therefore, is expected to generate a space linked to the avenue that serves the population and at the same time that serves as a point of union that allows to connect dispersed parts of La Torre, achieving an urban nucleus more related to itself and its surroundings. As it is an urban facility, it is designed mainly for the inhabitants of the municipality, but due to the communication with the city and other nearby towns by means of public transport, it can also accommodate users who are not exclusively from La Torre. It seeks to be a facility that favors urban life, producing a public space linked to a market accessible to all and at the same tim e becoming a prominent point in the area for cultural and / or sports activities. These three main uses are divided into two differentiated volumes that are associated with the existing dividing walls, leaving in the center of the plot a free space for green areas and outdoor community spaces. The volume associated with the market is to the south of the plot and the other, in which the cultural and sports functions are developed in the northern part. On the façade that faces the Camí Real, it breaks with the arrangement of the rest of the block and an opening is created that opens the access to the interior plaza. Thus giving a public space to the city. In the same way, on the façade that faces XXXX street, this opening is also created, but to a lesser extent due to the lower number of people on this road. Regarding the program, in the market block, which is a large warehouse, we can also find a coffe shop and a tasting area. Market stalls have space for storage and refrigeration. The slabs of these stalls that hang from the main slab of the warehouse that forms the market, in turn serve as a walkway in which part of the gastronomic space takes place. The coffe shop is located in a volume that leaves the main hall, highlighting one of its entrances. The cultural-sports volume is divided into two blocks: a library and multipurpose and adaptable classrooms for sports activities such as dance, martial arts, yoga or Pilates. The ground floor, more open-plan, houses a coworking space and citizen service offices, as well as a multipurpose space with various uses such as exhibitions or cultural events.

The access to this volume is at the intersection between the two main uses, through a double- height space. The two volumes (market and cultural-sports) are linked by a series of light walkways at two heights that serve as both generators of covered spaces and routes between the volumes. In terms of materiality, the project has a porticoed structure. The vertical elements will be made up of metal profiles and the horizontal ones of reinforced concrete. The interior partitions will be made of laminated gypsum panels that guarantee the necessary thermal and acoustic insulation. The façade enclosures will be made of concrete or glass and for solar control, light filtering elements will be used. This system will be final in later phases of the project.
