Diseño de productos para la revalorización de la paja de arroz a partir de estructuras textiles no tejidas

Abstract

[ES] El presente proyecto parte de la reutilización de la paja de arroz para la obtención de estructuras textiles no tejidas de uso en diversas aplicaciones. Con ello se conseguirá una revalorización del producto generado a partir de un residuo agrario. La alumna realizará un estudio de susceptibles desarrollos a obtener a partir de la paja del arroz. Se seleccionará uno de ellos y se definirá el proceso que se debe seguir para la obtención del producto, diseñando una posible colección.

[EN] Given the current problems generated by the burning of rice straw, this project seeks to understand the origin of the problem and develop designs based on non-woven fabrics that can revalue this residue. For this, both the raw material and its applications are studied so far, as well as the behaviour of similar fibers and their current uses in the market. In this way, a brand is created based on this study and on the contemporary social and environmental context generated by Covid 19, which will encompass these products and their future variants. The first application is a substrate for vertical gardens, green facades and hydroponic crops and the second application is a biodegradable pot that will serve as a way of replantation for self-sufficiency in the home. Different tests have been carried out in which an attempt is made to cover topics such as the shaping of the material or dyeing with pigments from nature in order to design products that meet technical, aesthetic and environmental requirements. Finally, it is possible to define and develop two products that manage to revalue the rice straw, fulfilling the objectives proposed in the project.
