ESTUDIO DE SEGURIDAD Y SALUD DEL PROCESO DE TRANSFORMACIÓN Y FABRICACIÓN DEL POLIESTIRENO EXTRUIDO (XPS) EN UNA PLANTA DE PRODUCCIÓN DE COMPUESTOS PARA EL AISLAMIENTO TÉRMICO

Abstract

[ES] El poliestireno extruido (XPS) es un compuesto altamente empleado en construcción por sus propiedades como aislante térmico y por sus utilidades en sistemas de impermeabilización. Durante el proceso de fabricación del XPS, existen gran diversidad de factores de riesgo que pueden suponer un peligro para los trabajadores. En el presente estudio de seguridad y salud se analizará el proceso de transformación y producción de XPS de una empresa que ha crecido considerablemente en los últimos años, aumentando la plantilla y ampliando sus instalaciones. Para ello, se describirá el proceso productivo de la empresa y se realizará un estudio de la siniestralidad en los diferentes puestos de trabajo presentes en la planta. Seguidamente, se realizará una identificación y evaluación de riesgos sobre los cuales se propondrán diversas medidas preventivas junto a su plan de implementación. De esta forma, se pretende, aumentar el grado de seguridad y salud de los trabajadores y reducir así el número de accidentes en la empresa.

[EN] Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is a compound widely used in construction due to its thermal insulating properties and its uses in waterproofing systems. During the XPS manufacturing process, there is a wide range of risk factors that could be potentially dangerous for employees. The present safety and health study will analyse the XPS transformation and manufacturing process of a company that has grown considerably in recent years, increasing its workforce and expanding its facilities. In order to do that, the company¿s production process will be described and a study of the accident rate at the different workspaces in the factory will be carried out. Subsequently, an identification and evaluation of risks will be done, for which, various preventive measures with their implementation plan will be put forward. In this way, the intention to increase the degree of safety and health of the workers and, therefore, decrease the number of accidents in the company.
