[EN] In this final degree project, the socio-cultural and tourist impacts of academic exchanges through the Erasmus programme on the city of Budapest, as an example of a European city, are studied. During the work, we will see the influence of the Erasmus programme in Europe together with its development and current situation. We will deepen the study of the city and its context from the historical, sociocultural and tourist spheres, always before the crisis resulting from Covid-19, to find the relationship between the two. By analysing the social, cultural and tourist characteristics of the destination, we will see what it offers to Erasmus students and how decisive it is when it comes to choosing it as a destination. We will understand the student¿s bond with the city and the idiosyncrasy of the local population, what are the erasmus tourist trends, and how these in turn have an impact on the population.
After studying the relationship and influence of the city and the local population towards Erasmus students and the cultural exchange between them, the impacts, barriers and problems generated by the experience will be understood and the proposal for socio-cultural and tourist improvement will be proposed, complementing the Erasmus experience in Budapest.
