países, especialmente a España.

[EN] Currently, the tourism sector has been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Nowadays, the different areas that conform this sector are looking for alternatives to survive. Against this background, one of the solutions that society has opted for is proximity consumption due to the major mobility restrictions that have shaken all countries, especially Spain.
This paper will analyse an emerging tourist trend that has survived the ravages of the pandemic and has been consolidating over the last few years. This is the popular culture of "esmorzar" and its influence on the tourist offer in the area, especially active tourism. This alternative allows people to continue traveling differently and safely way in terms of health according to the current circumstances. It also promotes the discovery of different areas of the environment where they live through nature and gastronomy. This movement has been favoured because of the revaluation of rural areas as opposed to large cities and the consequent impact on the small economies of the area.
The popular gastronomy of three regions in the province of Valencia will be analysed: Valencia city and Camp de Túria.
