Anteproyecto de puerto deportivo y pesquero en la isla de Barú, en Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo consiste en un Anteproyecto para el diseño de un puerto deportivo y pesquero en la isla de Barú, en Cartagena de Indias (Colombia). Tras haber visitado la zona de estudio, se hace evidente la necesidad de infraestructuras y redes de servicios públicos en la isla. La infraestructura portuaria en ella es precaria y está en mal estado. Así pues, este trabajo desarrollará el dimensionamiento y la ordenación en planta de un puerto, el diseño de la obra de abrigo (dique y contradique) y de las obras para el atraque y amarre (muelles y pantalanes). Dentro de la ordenación, se ubicarán y dimensionarán también las diferentes áreas e instalaciones a disponer, necesarias para el adecuado funcionamiento del puerto. El puerto será una instalación multipropósito: en él se desarrollarán las actividades de pesca artesanal, el turismo náutico, algunas actividades de recreación y el transporte por vía marítima de pasajeros. Su construcción solucionará numerosos problemas en el área y contribuirá a fomentar la compatibilidad entre la pesca artesanal, el turismo y la conservación del entorno natural. Además, permitirá la modernización de la pesca artesanal y el turismo controlado. Podrá formar parte de la nueva Red Nacional de marinas y bases náuticas que se pretende crear en el país.

[EN] The present project consists of a preliminary project for the design of a marina and a fishing port on the island of Baru, in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia). After having visited the study area, the needs for infrastructure and public service networks on the island are evident. The port infrastructure there is precarious and in poor conditions. Thus, this study will develop the dimensioning and plant planning of a port, the design of the protection construction (dock) and mooring places (quays and pontoons). Within the plant design, it will be defined the different areas and facilities which are necessary for the proper operation of the port and they will also be located and dimensioned. The port will be a multipurpose facility: in it will take place artisanal fishing, nautical tourism, some recreational activities and passenger transport by sea. Its construction will solve numerous problems in the area and the port will help to promote compatibility between artisanal fishing, tourism and the preservation of natural environment. In addition, it will allow the modernization of artisanal fishing and controlled tourism. It could be part of the new National Network of marinas and nautical bases that is intended to create in the country.
