[EN] The food industry is one of the most polluting in the Valencian Community, therefore
It is very important that the companies that make up this industry have a Environmental Management
System (EMS) to control its environmental impact. In this work it is carried out the
implementation of an EMS as required by UNE-EN ISO 14001: 2015 in a factory
dedicated to the production of canned vegetables. The company is composed of more than 250 employees and produces
more than 54.000 tons of frozen vegetable product at
year. For this, the EMS Manual is developed, including the scope and environmental policy.
First, an analysis of the context of the company is carried out. Subsequently, the
study of all waste generated and how it is currently managed by the company.
Finally, by consulting the EMS Manual, a series of corrections are established to
reduce the environmental impact of the factory's activity, in order to meet the objectives
established by UNE-EN ISO 14001: 2015.
After carrying out the aforementioned, a budget is prepared in which the
specifies the total cost of executing the corrective measures necessary for the acquisition
of the certification of the UNE-EN ISO 14001: 2015 standard.
