OUTdoors: Cooperativa residencial y biblioteca intergeneracional Botànic. Viviendas para la tercera edad

Abstract

[ES] Se ha observado durante este último año lo vulnerables que son las residencias, su poca adaptabilidad en ocasiones ha llegado a provocar un mayor deterioro de sus habitantes. Personas que necesitan cariño y cuidados se han visto oprimidas y aisladas por la falta de espacios verdes que permiten la movilidad exterior y los grandes espacios comunes no facilitan crear espacios seguros para pequeños núcleos de convivencia. A su vez, las residencias convencionales se encuentran generalmente aisladas del resto de la sociedad, tienen poco contacto con el exterior, se encuentran separadas de la cultura, las nuevas tecnologías y generalmente el único contacto que tienen a estos conocimientos es gracias a los familiares jóvenes que van enseñándoles poco a poco. Es por ello, que se debe buscar una forma de volver a incluir a este grupo social a la comunidad y al movimiento de la ciudad. Por otro lado, dado el emplazamiento propuesto, el barrio del Botànic permite trabajar en la ciudad heredada donde los primeros trazos del ensanche conviven con los caminos rurales consolidados estableciendo una trama urbana irregular de largas parcelas con interiores de manzana que dan paso a un concepto de ciudad moderna con viviendas ventiladas y espacios en planta baja que permiten la tipología de vivienda taller. Sin embargo, nos encontramos en un barrio debilitado con solares vacíos y pocos equipamientos que abastecen la zona, a pesar de su proximidad con el centro histórico de la ciudad. Por ello, se propone un nuevo concepto de cooperativa adaptada a la actualidad con una propuesta de diferentes volúmenes en el barrio del Botànic en Valencia que permite una mayor independencia para aquellos que pueden seguir las diferentes rutinas diarias vinculadas a la ciudad y los cuidados necesarios para todos los que necesiten algún tipo de ayuda. A su vez, busca nuevas conexiones con la ciudad que permitan recuperar la vitalidad del barrio y dotarlo de equipamientos que permitan la regeneración del barrio. Para ello se propondrán diferentes servicios en planta baja que ayuda a la permeabilidad del interior de manzana a la ciudad y un servicio público de biblioteca intergeneracional para que las diferentes generaciones interactúen de forma dinámica y permitan la consolidación del proyecto en el barrio.

[EN] It has been observed over the last year how vulnerable the residences are, their lack of adaptability has sometimes led to further deterioration of their inhabitants. People in need of love and care have been oppressed and isolated by the lack of green spaces that allow outdoor mobility and the large communal spaces do not facilitate the creation of safe spaces for small groups of people to live together. At the same time, conventional residences are generally isolated from the rest of society, have little contact with the outside world, are separated from culture and new technologies, and generally the only contact they have with this knowledge is thanks to young relatives who teach them little by little. For this reason, a way must be found to bring this social group back into the community and the movement of the city. On the other hand, given the proposed location, the Botànic neighbourhood allows us to work in the inherited city where the first traces of the urban expansion coexist with the consolidated rural roads, establishing an irregular urban grid of long plots with block interiors that give way to a concept of a modern city with ventilated dwellings and ground floor spaces that allow for the typology of workshop housing. However, we find ourselves in a weakened neighbourhood with empty plots and few facilities that supply the area, despite its proximity to the historic city centre. For this reason, a new concept of cooperative adapted to the present day is proposed with a proposal of different volumes in the Botànic neighbourhood in Valencia that allows greater independence for those who can follow the different daily routines linked to the city and the necessary care for all those who need some kind of help. At the same time, it seeks new connections with the city that will allow the neighbourhood to recover its vitality and provide it with facilities that will allow the regeneration of the neighbourhood. To this end, different services will be proposed on the ground floor to help the permeability of the interior of the block to the city and a public intergenerational library service for the different generations to interact dynamically and allow the consolidation of the project in the neighbourhood.
