Estudio de los servicios Offshore de la ciudad de Valencia

Abstract

Durante años 80 y 90, la evolución de los cruceros en España ha sido imparable y lo que hasta entonces había sido un producto turístico elitista ha pasado a ser una opción de vacaciones para todos. Son varios los factores que han contribuido en esta progresión: - El desarrollo económico de España que favoreció que aumentara el poder adquisitivo principalmente de las clases medias. - La reducción de los precios de venta en la comercialización de los cruceros provocó que este sector se popularizara. Es sin duda un sector en auge. Con este trabajo voy a intentar mostrar la operativa de una escala de un crucero: el embarque, el desembarque y una escala de pasajeros en tránsito en el Puerto de Valencia y a describir la situación actual del sector cruceros en esta ciudad. Esto, nos ayudará a identificar y diferenciar las distintas funciones y responsabilidades de los agentes implicados durante una escala, a desarrollar un protocolo de trabajo para atender a las compañías de cruceros y a analizar el funcionamiento del servicio turístico terrestre ofrecido por una agencia de viajes receptiva para las Compañías de Cruceros, al tiempo que diferenciamos entre los distintos servicios turísticos que pueden ser requeridos por una compañía de cruceros.

During the `80 and `90 the evolution of the cruises in Spain has been unstoppable, this made the product, that until then had been a elite tourist product, a holiday choice for everyone. Various factors have contributed to this growth: - The Spanish economic growth that made the middle classes purchasing power increase. - The lower prices and the commercialisation of cruises made their popularity grow. Without any doubt, we can say that it is a booming sector. In this work I will try to present the operation of one of the calls of a cruise: embark, debark and a call in action at the Valencian Port, and describe the actual situation of the cruise sector in this city. This will help us identify and differentiate the different functions and responsibilities of the agents who are involved during a call, develop a protocol when assisting the cruise companies and analyse the performance of the services offered by the incoming travel agency or ground handler hired by the cruise companies, whilst we differentiate between the different tourist services that can be required by a cruise company.
