Des/Re-territorialización Animal

Abstract

[EN] Animal deterritorialization and reterritorialization are two concepts that modify the image in space-time within art. In this research we focus on their study. We are especially interested in the evolution of the representation and presentation of the animal, the latter being presented in the gallery totally alive or in cycles of animal life and death. Throughout our research process we have focused on the object of study understanding the practice as a research practice. The research methodology as creation has allowed us to present and represent the image of the dead animal without degrrading its body, nor the need for its real death to carry out said plastic project. Giving rise to a new reconfiguration of new signifiers between the relationship between artists and animals within Contemporary Art.

[ES] La desterritorialización y la reterritorialización animal son dos conceptos que modifican la imagen del animal en el espacio-tiempo dentro del arte. En esta investigación no centramos en su estudio. Nos interesa especialmente la evolución de la representación y la presentación del animal, siendo éste último presentado en la galería totalmente vivo o en ciclos de vida y muerte animal. A lo largo de nuestro proceso de investigación hemos centrado el objeto de estudio entendiendo la práctica como práctica investigadora. La metodología de investigación como creación nos ha permitido presentar y representar la imagen del animal muerto sin envilecer su cuerpo, ni la necesidad de su muerte real para realizar dicho proyecto plástico. Dando lugar a una nueva reconfiguración de nuevos significantes entre la relación artistas y animales dentro del Arte Contemporáneo.
