Ubicación curricular del lenguaje audiovisual en la etapa de Educación Infantil

Abstract

[EN] Today's childhood unfolds in a world saturated with images. These have indisputable value and strength, as well as a great wealth of communication. For this reason, attention must be paid to their potential as transmitters of knowledge and as role models. Due to the influence that these exert on the children's group, it is necessary to attend to the processes of reading, interpreting and decoding them (cinema, television and advertising) that students follow from educational spaces and formal teaching environments. For this reason, after the theoretical and bibliographic presentation of these concepts, the objective of the research is to analyze and assess the place that audiovisual language has in the official curricula of Early Childhood Education, both at a general and national level (Spanish territory), as well as specifically and regional (Valencian Community). It is based on a socio-educational position since the study aims to generate greater knowledge among the teachers of the Early Childhood Education stage regarding the treatment that visual culture has its legal frameworks; contributing as a consequence to an improvement of the teaching-learning processes. All this, through a qualitative methodology and a method of bibliographic and legislative review. To complement, after the study carried out, the criteria for the selection and use of the audiovisual materials that are followed in the stage are shared; as well as other significant concepts such as the functions of the media, Learning and Knowledge Technologies (TAC) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). All in all, it concludes with the place that audiovisual language presents in the official curricula of the section of children's schooling; which is treated in an inclusive and specialized manner. However, as an improvement and proposal for the future, the need to train teaching staff in the analysis of the legal frameworks that protect them and in the procedures that must be followed to apply correctly and generate learning from said contents is proposed.

[ES] La infancia actual se desenvuelve en un mundo saturado de imágenes. Estas tienen un valor y una fuerza indiscutibles, así como también una gran riqueza de comunicación. Por ello, se debe atender al potencial que estas presentan como transmisoras de conocimiento y como modelos de comportamiento. Debido a la influencia que estas ejercen sobre el colectivo infantil, resulta necesario atender a los procesos de lectura, interpretación y decodificación de las mismas (cine, televisión y publicidad) que sigue el alumnado desde los espacios educativos y entornos de enseñanza formal. Por ello, tras la presentación teórica y bibliográfica de dichos conceptos se plantea como objetivo de la investigación analizar y valorar la cabida que tiene el lenguaje audiovisual en los currículos oficiales de Educación Infantil, tanto a nivel general y nacional (territorio español), como específico y autonómico (Comunitat Valenciana). Se parte de un posicionamiento socioeducativo ya que el estudio pretende generar un mayor conocimiento entre el profesorado de la etapa de Educación Infantil respecto al tratamiento que la cultura visual tiene sus marcos legales; contribuyendo como consecuencia a una mejora de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Todo ello, por medio de una metodología cualitativa y un método de revisión bibliográfica y legislativa. Para complementar, tras el estudio realizado, se comparten los criterios de selección y de utilización de los materiales audiovisuales que se siguen en la etapa; así como otros conceptos significativos como las funciones de los medios, las Tecnologías del Aprendizaje y del Conocimiento (TAC) y las Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación (TIC). Con todo, se concluye con la cabida que presenta el lenguaje audiovisual en los currículos oficiales del tramo de la escolarización infantil; el cual es tratado de una manera inclusiva y especializada. No obstante, se plantea como mejora y propuesta de futuro, la necesidad de formar a las plantillas docentes en los análisis de los marcos legales que los amparan y en los procedimientos que deben seguirse para aplicar correctamente y generar aprendizaje a partir de dichos contenidos.
