Problemáticas e incertezas desde aquello inadvertido en las artes visuales

Abstract

[EN] Visual arts are an entire world that is neglected by public administrations. The lack of aid for this cultural sector highlights the concerns of the social agents themselves who interact within this field of visual art. The main objective of the study is the figure of the visual artist in the Valencian territory. They are immersed in their own field of work, surrounded by constant obstacles and difficulties that endanger their work activity. The aim of the research is to analyse the general State budgets dedicated to culture, those of the Generalitat Valenciana, together with the investments of the valencian museums, cultural and artistic institutions during the last 5/6 years, to achieve an economic analysis that shows where the economic capital goes in terms of culture and more specifically in art and visual artists. The results of this research show that the State invests 12% in cultural equipment and museums, and around 7% in the Valencian Community. The Generalitat Valenciana invests 17.3% in visual arts. As for investments related to art; IVAM: 9%, MUVIM: 4%, MACA: 57.7%, MACVAC: 5%, Consortium: 30% and IVC: 0%. The article also includes interviews with the main managers and directors of the main valencian museums, cultural and artistic institutions. From the Valencian public administrations themselves to the museum, cultural and artistic institutions, these capitals are distributed according to the objectives set by an ageing structure that does not seem to follow the new forms and dynamics presented by the field of visual art.

[ES] Las artes visuales son todo un mundo que queda desatendido desde las administraciones públicas. La carencia de ayudas a este sector cultural pone de manifiesto las inquietudes de los propios agentes sociales que interactúan dentro de este campo del arte visual. El principal objetivo de estudio es la figura del artista visual en el territorio valenciano. Este se encuentra sumergido en su propio campo de trabajo rodeado de constantes obstáculos y dificultades que ponen en peligro su actividad laboral. La finalidad de la investigación es la de analizar los presupuestos generales del Estado dedicados a cultura, los de la Generalitat Valenciana, y los Ayuntamientos de Valencia, Alicante y Castellón, juntamente con las inversiones de las instituciones museísticas, culturales y artísticas valencianas durante los últimos 5/6 años, se consigue un análisis económico que muestra dónde van a parar los capitales económicos en materia de cultura y más concretamente en el arte y artista visual. Los resultados de la presente investigación muestran que el Estado invierte un 12% a nivel nacional en equipos culturales y museos, y alrededor de un 7% en la Comunidad Valenciana. La Generalitat Valenciana invierte un 17,3% en artes visuales. En cuanto a las inversiones directamente relacionadas con el arte; IVAM: 9%, MUVIM: 4%, MACA: 57,7%, MACVAC: 5%, Consorcio: 30% i IVC: 0%. Además, contamos con diferentes entrevistas a los principales gestores y directores de las principales instituciones museísticas, culturales y artísticas valencianas. Desde las propias administraciones públicas valencianas como las instituciones museísticas, culturales y artísticas, se distribuyen estos capitales en función a los objetivos marcados por una estructura envejecida y que parece no seguir las nuevas formas y dinámicas que presenta el campo del arte visual.
