ESTUDIO Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DEL SAGRARIO UBICADO EN LA SACRÍSTIA DE LA IGLÉSIA DE SAN MIGUEL DE ARCÁNGEL, ENGUERA.

Abstract

[ES] El sagrario o tabernáculo perteneciente a la sacristía de la Iglesia San Miguel Arcángel en la localidad de Enguera, Valencia, es el objeto de estudio de este Trabajo Final de Grado* (TFG)*. Elaborado a finales de la década de los treinta del siglo XIX, más concretamente en el año 1837, es utilizado actualmente para guardar algunas de las reliquias de la iglesia, así como la sagrada hostia. La pieza ha sufrido diferentes reparaciones durante las décadas, en concreto se conoce la reparación llevaba a cabo durante el año 1947, actualmente se sabe que no presenta la forma original en la que fue realizado y está en mal estado de conservación. Este está cubierto exteriormente por una gruesa capa de barniz oxidado y bajo esta se encuentran una serie de incisiones elaboradas sobre finas capas de oro, además, en la parte posterior se detecta un ataque de insectos xilófagos en un nivel muy avanzado, principalmente esta entre otras patologías ponen en peligro la integridad de la obra. Es por ello por lo que se debe hacer una intervención urgentemente sobre la obra. Para ello previamente a la intervención se hace un estudio técnico y documental de la obra, para posteriormente presentar una propuesta de intervención con la finalidad de poder intervenir la obra en algún futuro.

[EN] The tabernacle belonging to the sacristy of the Church of San Miguel the Archangel in the village of Enguera, Valencia, is the object of study of this Final Degree Project* (FDP*). Made at the ending of the thirty¿s decade of the XIX century, more specifically in 1837, it is used to keep some of the relics of the church, as well as the sacred host. The piece has suffered all kinds of reparations over the decades, in particular stands out the one made in 1947, it is known that the object has not have the original shape and presents a bad state of conservation. This is covered externally by a thick layer of oxidized varnish and under it we can find a series of incisions made with thin layers of gold, it also presents in the back the attack of xylophagous insects in a very advanced way, mainly these, among other pathologies, endanger the integrity of the tabernacle. It is for that reason that it is urgent an intervention on it. For this, prior to the intervention, a technical and documentary study of the work is made. Later with this information, I will be able to present an intervention proposal intervention together with a budget and proceed with and intervention on the piece.
