Plan Local de Gestión de Residuos Domésticos y Asimilables de Algemesí

Abstract

[ES] Resumen español o valenciano (máximo 5000 caracteres): La problemática de la gestión de residuos urbanos es de gran relevancia y actualidad, ya que se está generando una cantidad de residuos muy superior a lo que el planeta puede asimilar. Con el fin de poder transitar de una economía lineal a una economía circular, la adecuada gestión de los residuos que se produce en los municipios es muy importante, cuanto mejor separen en origen más fácil será el posterior reciclaje y aprovechamientos de estos. Este proyecto busca fomentar la correcta gestión de los residuos del municipio de Algemesí. Además de buscar una mejora ambiental en materia de la gestión de residuos en toda la localidad, también se plantea diferentes alternativas adaptadas a los recursos del ayuntamiento y su viabilidad económica. Se hará un estudio inicial de la situación actual del municipio en materia de gestión de residuos, analizando sus características geográficas, demográficas y socioeconómicas, así como la tipología viaria y edificatoria, y por supuesto, la generación y composición de los residuos que se producen en Algemesí. A partir de los análisis, se procede al cálculo de las diferentes alternativas que se podrían implantar en el municipio. Según Plan Integral de Residuos de la Comunitat Valenciana (PIRCV), se deben plantear como mínimo 3 alternativas diferentes a la actual del municipio que deben ser: - Implantación por contenedores de la recogida de la fracción orgánica de forma separada - Sistema de recogida por contenedores de carga lateral - Sistema de recogida puerta a puerta Este Plan se diseña como herramienta de planificación para poder cumplir los objetivos marcados por el PIRCV en los años que se determinan en la normativa, buscando mejorar la prevención frente a la creciente generación de residuos, fomentar la reducción, reutilización y reciclaje de los residuos, crear conciencia en materia de residuos y gestionar de manera más eficiente los residuos que se generen en el municipio de Algemesí.

[EN] Resumen inglés (máximo 5000 caracteres): The problem of urban waste management is of great relevance and topicality, as a much larger amount of waste is being generated than the planet can assimilate. In order to be able to move from a linear economy to a circular economy, the proper management of waste produced in municipalities is very important, the better they separate at source, the easier it will be to recycle and make use of it. This project seeks to promote the proper management of waste in the municipality of Algemesí. In addition to seeking an environmental improvement in waste management throughout the town, it also proposes different alternatives adapted to the resources of the council and its economic viability. An initial study will be made of the current situation of the municipality in terms of waste management, analysing its geographical, demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, as well as the type of roads and buildings, and of course, the generation and composition of the waste produced in Algemesí. Based on these analyses, the different alternatives that could be implemented in the municipality are calculated. According to the Integral Waste Plan of the Valencian Community (PIRCV), at least 3 different alternatives to the current one in the municipality should be considered: - Implementation of separate collection of the organic fraction by containers. - Collection system using side-loading containers - Door-to-door collection system This Plan is designed as a planning tool to be able to fulfil the objectives set by the PIRCV in the years determined in the regulations, seeking to improve prevention in the face of the growing generation of waste, to promote the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste, to create awareness of waste and to manage more efficiently the waste generated in the municipality of Algemesí.
