Regenerando el espacio vacío.

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo la ordenación, urbanización y revalorización del barrio de Morvedre, manteniendo preexistencias con un valor significativo o con un potencial para tenerlo, y la creación de nuevos espacios y edificios. El proyecto pretende, partiendo de las bases urbanísticas que ofrece el entorno próximo, aportar una unidad al barrio y ofreciéndole espacios públicos de distintas características. Mientras los edificios de nueva planta pretenden ordenar las dos manzanas de actuación, las preexistencias son intervenidas y dotadas con espacios semiexteriores que aportan a las viviendas más luz y más espacio. A su vez, el espacio público articula las dos manzanas a la vez que hace de nexo entre la calle Ruaya y la zona sur del barrio que conecta con el viejo cauce del Turia. En cuanto a la construcción, se utilizan materiales y técnicas que sean sostenibles para conseguir edificios con las mínimas emisiones de CO2 y que respeten el medio ambiente. Para ello se emplea la construcción en seco, tanto con madera laminada como con CLT, que permite una rápida construcción además de ser una técnica en auge pero poco utilizada en esta zona, lo que obliga a un trabajo de investigación y comprobación de su eficacia.

[EN] The objective of this work is the ordering, urbanization and revaluation of the Morvedre neighborhood, maintaining pre-existing buildings with a significant value or with the potential to have it, and the creation of new spaces and buildings. The project intends, based on the urban pre-existing buildings offered by the immediate environment, to provide unity to the neighborhood and offer public spaces with different characteristics. While the new buildings intend to order the two blocks, the pre-existing ones are intervened and equipped with semi-exterior spaces that provide the homes with more light and more space. In turn, the public space articulates the two blocks while acting as a link between Ruaya street and the southern area of the neighborhood that connects with the old Turia riverbed. In terms of construction, sustainable materials and techniques are used to achieve buildings with minimal CO2 emissions and that respect the environment. For this, dry construction is used, both with laminated timber and with CLT, which allows rapid construction as well as being a technique on the rise but little used in this area, which requires research work and verification of its effectiveness.
