Re-Conexión Social. Barrio Morvedre

Abstract

[ES] Este proyecto es una propuesta profesional para la creación de un centro cultural en la ciudad de Valencia, ubicado en el barrio de Morvedre, partiendo de las necesidades y requerimientos del análisis y diagnóstico del entorno. Las finalidades del centro son múltiples y diversas pero todas ellas se encuentran íntimamente interrelacionadas y comparten un mismo fin, que no es el otro que contribuir al desarrollo potenciando al sector cultural como uno de los pilares fundamentales del mismo, con la creación, la relación, la participación, el diálogo y la experimentación como principales herramientas. Crear espacios al aire libre donde poder realizar actividades culturales, lúdicas¿ es otro factor del proyecto para crear un punto de encuentro entre los vecinos del barrio. El edificio se ha creado con la interpretación de las tramas existentes de los edificios del entorno obteniendo un lugar de encuentro, un punto visual que conectará el centro de la ciudad con el barrio. El centro cultural reúne las actividades y a los visitantes del edificio bajo un mismo techo, pudiendo también desarrollarse en la plaza actividades al aire libre. El acceso principal al edificio será desde la plaza que se ha creado por la calle Sagunto. Una gran fachada de vidrio hacia la plaza asegura el contacto visual entre el interior y el exterior del edificio. En cambio, la envolvente que da a las calles Milagrosa y San Juan de la Cruz, este y sur, respectivamente, es mucho más cerrado su contacto visual con el exterior. Las diferentes funciones están situadas para crear sinergia al tiempo que garantizan espacios abiertos, flexibles y accesibles que invitan a los visitantes a interactuar, ser curiosos y crear.

[EN] This project is a professional proposal for the creation of a cultural center in the city of Valencia, located in the neighborhood of Morvedre, based on the needs and requirements of the analysis and diagnosis of the environment. The purposes of the center are multiple and diverse but all of them are closely interrelated and share the same purpose, which is none other than to contribute to development by promoting the cultural sector as one of the fundamental pillars of it,with creation, relationship, participation, dialogue and experimentation as main tools.Creating open-air spaces where cultural and recreational activities can take place is another factor in the project to create a meeting point for the neighborhood's residents. The building has been created with the interpretation of the existing plots of the surrounding buildings to obtain a meeting place, a visual point that will connect the center of the city with the neighborhood. The cultural center brings together the activities and visitors of the building under one roof, and outdoor activities can also take place in the square. The main access to the building will be from the square that has been created on Sagunto Street. A large glass façade facing the square ensures visual contact between the interior and exterior of the building. In contrast, the envelope facing Milagrosa and San Juan de la Cruz streets, east and south, respectively, is much more closed its visual contact with the outside. The different functions are positioned to create synergy while ensuring open, flexible and accessible spaces that invite visitors to interact, be curious and create.
