Restauración Dunar en playa de la Creu, Valencia, España.

Abstract

[ES] La playa de La Creu es un frente recesivo, proceso que es bien conocido y cuyas causas son múltiples, y que en su momento se describirán. La situación de playa en recesión ha llevado a la retirada de estructuras significativas, además de las instalaciones deportivas y otras menores, pero fundamentalmente ha supuesto la desaparición del primer cordón dunar, y deja el frente sin el escarpe, defensa natural de las costas bajas arenosas que permite contener los temporales y evitar la inundación del área litoral por desbordamiento del mar.

El TFM tiene como objetivos la descripción y valoración de las actuaciones necesarias para recuperar el sistema dunar en la playa y la renaturalización del frente definido, que forma parte del Parque Natural de la Albufera.

Para el cumplimiento de los objetivos algunas de las actuaciones propuestas son las siguientes:

- Restauración morfológica del sistema dunar mediante la formación de un nuevo sistema dunar. - Fijación del cordón dunar - Excavación de arenas procedentes de la playa del Cabanyal, y la Malladeta de la Rambla, para la restauración del sistema dunar.

[EN] La Creu beach is a recessive front, a process that is well known and whose causes are multiple, and which will be described in due course. The situation of the beach in recession has led to the removal of significant structures, in addition to sports facilities and other minor ones, but it has especially meant the disappearance of the first dune ridge, and leaves the front without the escarpment, natural defense of the low sandy coasts that allows to contain the storms and avoid the flooding of the coastal area due to overflow of the sea.

The TFM¿s objectives are the description and assessment of the actions necessary to recover the dune system on the beach and the renaturalization of the defined front, which is part of the Albufera Natural Park.

To meet the objectives, some of the proposed actions are as follows:

- Morphological restoration of the dune system through the formation of a new dune system. - Fixation of the dune cord. - Excavation of sand from the Cabanyal beach and Malladeta de la Rambla, for the restoration of the dune system.
