dc.description.abstract | [EN] We study online conversations about climate policy by building a novel dataset of around 100,000 tweets and tweet threads by climate policy scientists. This data is complemented with information about the scientific affiliation and production of scientists. We undertake an exploratory analysis of the content of tweets by means of Natural Language Processing. In addition, we study the relationship between tweet content and academic background. This indicates that economists and political scientists are the most active in discussing climate policy on Twitter. We further find that the policy instruments receiving most attention are cap-and-trade and carbon taxation. | es_ES |
