dc.description.abstract [EN] Octahedral tantalum clusters are redox-active compounds. [{Ta6Bri12}Bra2(H2O)a4]·4H2O (i = inner; a = apical ligands) cluster results in efficient pre-catalyst for the light-driven H2 production from aqueous protons in homogeneous conditions. The most active cluster species are in situ generated by apical ligand exchange reaction from aqueous media. es_ES
dc.description.sponsorship This research was funded by project PID2021-123163OB-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/and FEDER. A way of making Europe and Severo Ochoa center of excellence program (CEX2021-001230-S). J.S.H. gratefully acknowledges to Programa Santiago Grisolía (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientifíicas and Generalitat Valenciana; grant number GRISOLIA/2021/054). Funding for open access charge: CRUE-Universitat Politècnica de València. Computationalresources were kindly provided by Laboratory of complex compounds synthesis (Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry SB RAS). We would like to thank to the technical team at the Instituto de Tecnologia Quimica for providing us all facilities for characterizations. Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry team thanks the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Dr. Artem L. Guschin for CV measurements. es_ES
