HEDIT 2024 - International Congress for Heritage Digital Technologies and Tourism Management

The cultural heritage is a defining element of the identity of the societies that host it, and a key driver of the local economy. Therefore, its conservation and proper management are essential to ensure its survival over time and its transmission, in good conditions, to future generations. The Universitat Politècnica de València and the project I+D “Analysis and Development of HBIM Integration into GIS for Creating a Cultural Heritage Tourism Planning Protocol” funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Government of Spain, are organizing the HEDIT·2024 Congress (Valencia, June 20-21, 2024). The congress aims to provide a platform for showcasing research related to the use of digital technologies in the conservation and management of heritage. Topics to be addressed include the urgent need for digital documentation of heritage elements, the use of detection systems for preventive conservation, and the application of new technologies for the management of public and tourist use of heritage sites, among others.
