Estándares y métodos para optimizar la digitalización 3D de las fortificaciones

Abstract

[EN] The three-dimensional digitisation of fortifications may be treated as a specific scenario, that is, fortifications have certain formal, dimensional and typological characteristics, as well as their setting in the territory, which make them worthy of specific study of their digitisation process. This leads us to establish standards and workflows to guarantee the most appropriate application of the chosen methods.This paper aims to analyse the peculiarities of data collection in fortifications, with an emphasis on both big castles and those located on complex orography. At the same time, this paper outlines a process for determining the digitisation resolution standard based on the required scale in order to satisfy the aim of the graphic survey, as well as the recommendations to be considered in the data collection process to obtain it.
