Riego por goteo subterráneo en cítricos: implantación y beneficios medioambientales

Abstract

[ES] Debido a los problemas medioambientales que está sufriendo el territorio, las administraciones están implantando gran cantidad de restricciones tanto en el consumo de recursos, como puede ser el agua y/o el suelo, como en la aplicación de aditivos que puedan alterar la estructura fisicoquímica del ecosistema (p.ej.: pesticidas, compuestos ricos en nutrientes, bioestimulantes etc.). Tras la ejecución de estas normativas los agricultores locales han visto afectado sus sistemas de cultivo y la rentabilidad de las parcelas. Por ello, este estudio se realiza con el objetivo de analizar las ventajas e inconvenientes del riego por goteo subterráneo en el cultivo de cítricos, comparándolo con el sistema actual de riego por goteo superficial. A su vez, se analizará los potenciales beneficios tanto medioambientales como para la economía de los agricultores locales. La metodología empleada para el estudio incluirá la comunicación y entrevista con agricultores combinado con la búsqueda bibliográfica de estudios previos, reforzado con la realización de observaciones de campo. Para enmarcar el estudio en el contexto territorial próximo se usará de ejemplo el cultivo de los cítricos, aunque el estudio incluirá agricultores de diferentes cultivos (p.e: nueces, almendras, algarrobos). Así mismo los agricultores no serán el único sector encuestado, ya que se busca abarcar tanto ámbitos económicos como sociales.

[EN] Due to the environmental problems that the territory is suffering, administrations are implementing a large number of restrictions both in the consumption of resources, such as water and/or soil, and in the application of additives that can alter the physical structure. ecosystem chemistry (e.g. pesticides, nutrient-rich compounds, biostimulants, etc.). After the implementation of these regulations, local farmers have seen their cultivation systems and the profitability of their plots affected. Therefore, this study is carried out with the objective of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of underground drip irrigation in citrus cultivation, comparing it with the current surface drip irrigation system. At the same time, the potential benefits both environmentally and for the economy of local farmers will be analyzed. The methodology used for the study will include communication and interviews with farmers combined with a bibliographic search of previous studies, reinforced by carrying out field observations . To frame the study in the nearby territorial context, the cultivation of citrus fruits will be used as an example, although the study will include farmers of different crops (e.g.: walnuts, almonds, carob trees...). Likewise, farmers will not be the only sector surveyed, since it seeks to cover both economic and social areas.
