[EN] The project focuses on exploring complex rhetorical concepts, creating a pictorial-visual work that makes the viewer an active participant in the creation of the piece. Time and space coexist, but always in the presence of individual gazes that impact and shape the materiality of time. Simultaneously, it employs visual elements that refer to concepts of analogy, fragmentation, and reflection in a single piece. Materiality is essential, as each element (mirror, pigment, earth) used is subject to a specific rhetoric. Additionally, there is a documentary investigation of references that influence and nourish this way of working, appropriating and rescuing ideas from each of them.
Elements composing the artwork include the mirror as a representation of constant and immovable time; the earth, signifying erosion and the mutability of space; and the color black with 98% light absorption, creating a void in the absence of reflection. The objective is to create a pictorial piece with installation characteristics, where the viewer is engaged in observing the work from different perspectives and their own reflection.
Materiality, time, the self-image, the contrast between reflection and darkness are the main items of this research/installation.
