Ecos de la arquitectura andalusí en el Real Nuevo de Valencia

[ES] En la década de 1980, los arqueólogos del Servicio de Investigación Arqueológica Municipal de Valencia excavaron el ala oriental del desaparecido palacio del Real. Se hallaron los restos de una almunia de época almohade, de modestas dimensiones, y junto a esta una gran estructura tipológicamente andalusí, pero ejecutada en cantería al modo cristiano. La técnica constructiva y las dificultades para una datación precisa llevaron a considerarla obra mudéjar del siglo XIV, inspirada en la Aljafería de Zaragoza. Sin embargo, una relectura de la documentación confirmaría una cronología del último tercio del siglo XIII, lo que explica mejor su extraña tipología, que combina arcaísmos y novedades en una singular asimilación de influencias toledanas y murcianas. En este artículo se analiza la documentación histórica y la arqueológica, proponiendo algunos paralelos formales y su posible relación con el edificio valenciano. Igualmente se propone una restitución del mismo, elaborada con el apoyo de los planos del siglo XIX.

[EN] In the 1980s, archaeologists from the Valencia Municipal Archaeological Research Service excavated the eastern wing of the demolished Royal Palace. The remains of a small almunia from the Almohad period were found, and next to it a large and typologically Andalusian structure, but executed in stonework in the Christian manner. The construction technique and the difficulties for precise dating led it to be considered a Mudejar work from the 14th century, inspired by the Aljafería in Zaragoza. However, a rereading of the documentation would confirm a chronology of the last third of the 13th century, which would better explain its strange typology, which combines archaisms and novelties in a singular assimilation of Toledo and Murcian influences. In this paper the historical and archaeological documentation is analyzed, proposing some formal parallels and their possible relationship with the Valencian building. Likewise, a restitution of the it is proposed, elaborated with the support of the plans of the 19th century
