Dynamic modeling of heat pump components and circuits

[EN] The report describes the implementation of a radial micro-compressor in the dynamic modeling software PSE gProms, the development and the implementation of a two-phase flow pipe model, and the preliminary design of a two-phase flow dynamic heat exchanger model. The compressor model is applied to an oil-free domestic heat pump radial compresor developed in the Industrial Energy Systems Laboratory at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. The development of the different models is divided into three main parts which are, the selection of mathematical correlations that describe the behavior of each component¿s behavior, the implementation in gProms, and the model validation. The work described in this paper aims to being used within a complete dynamic simulation of the domestic heat pump developed in the Industrial Energy systems Laboratory at EPFL.
