Pintura y cine: Una versión libre de Van Gogh

Abstract

La presente tesina de Master tiene como objeto de estudio la relación Pintura y Cine, para estudiar la representación que ambas disciplinas desencadenan en la imagen y a partir del análisis de su relación, crear un audiovisual sobre Vincent Van Gogh como "objeto cinematográfico". El análisis de esta relación con ejemplos de artistas y cineastas de diferentes épocas permitirán dar una visión panorámica del desarrollo de estas dos disciplinas. Igualmente se estudiarán las diferentes versiones cinematográficas que se han realizado sobre el pintor y partir de estas observaciones se desarrollará el proceso de creación audiovisual bajo el nombre: Pintura y cine, una versión libre de Van Gogh, el cual contiene la exploración tanto de lo pictórico como de lo cinematográfico. El planteamiento y desarrollo de esta investigación ha verificado las hipótesis de partida demostrándolas acertadas.

The aim of this Master's dissertation is to study the relation between painting and cinema, in order to study the representation that both disciplines trigger on the image, and from the analysis of this relation creating an audiovisual work about Vincent Van Gogh as a "cinematographic" object. I will relate artists and cinema directors from different periods in order to give a panoramic view of the development of these two disciplines. I will also study all different cinematographic versions made of the painter and from these observations I will develop a process of audiovisual creation called: Painting and Cinema, a free version of Van Gogh, a product that contains an exploration of both the pictorial and the cinematographic. The approach & development of this research has verified the initial hypothesis, proving them to be right.
