Desarrollo de una infraestructura de datos espaciales y geoportal mediante software libre en el municipio de Canet d’en Berenguer

Abstract

[ES] El contenido de este trabajo trata sobre el diseño y desarrollo de la infraestructura necesaria para permitir la visualización y distribución de cartografía del municipio de Canet d’en Berenguer a través de internet, proporcionando el acceso libre y gratuito a diferentes capas cartográficas a través de un visualizador web y un catálogo de metadatos en un geoportal. Se ha descargado información cartográfica creada por organismos oficiales españoles, como son el Instituto Geográfico Nacional y el Instituto Cartográfico Valenciano, se ha tratado para adecuarla al municipio y se ha alojado en GeoServer, un servidor web utilizado para publicar la cartografía y permitir acceder a ella a través de los servicios web establecidos por el Open Geospatial Consortium. Se ha diseñado y programado una página web que incluye un visualizador interactivo en el que los usuarios pueden seleccionar como capas base ortofotografías de diferentes años, así como añadir capas con información sobre urbanismo, vías de comunicación, hostelería, servicios, hidrografía y más. Además se ha creado un catálogo de metadatos en la que los usuarios tienen la posibilidad de acceder a información sobre la propia cartografía, como es su descripción, extensión geográfica y temporal, propósito, pasos que se han seguido para su creación, y más. Todo se ha realizado acorde a la legislación europea y española y utilizando únicamente software libre y gratuito.

[EN] The content of this Project deals with the design and development of the necessary infrastructure to allow the visualization and distribution of cartography of the town of Canet d’en Berenguer throughout the internet, allowing the free and open access to different cartographic layers through a web map and a metadata catalog in a geoportal. Geographic information created by Spanish official organizations, as the Instituto Geografico Nacional and the Instituto Cartografico Valenciano, has been downloaded and treated to adapt it to the municipality, and it has been hosted in GeoServer, a web server used for publishing cartography and allowing its access through the web services stablished by the Open Geospatial Consortium. A web page has been designed and programmed that includes an interactive web map in which users are able to select orthophotographies of different years as base layers, as adding layers with information about urbanism, transport, services, hydrography and more. Furthermore, a metadata catalog has been created, in which users have the possibility to access information about the cartography itself, as its description, geographical and temporal extent, purpose, steps followed to its creation, and more. Everything has been done according to the European and Spanish legislation, and using only free software.
