dc.description.abstract [EN] This report aims to summarise the main challenges and opportunities western firms may face when adopting an internationalisation strategy. The analysis starts from a corporate perspective to further investigate particular obstacles and attractions affecting the service industry and how the cultural differences impact on the management. Lastly, the analysis concentrates on the specific challenges and business opportunities resulting from the Middle-East external environment, as the case study indicates. The information has been initially collected from the secondary research through an extensive literature review from related sources. Then, it has been contrasted with the first-hand data collected from interviews and questionnaires disseminated to professionals in related industries and with international background. An extensive analysis from both sources based on the Research onion model has led to the conclusions, underlining how cultural differences, political situation and adopted organizational strategy affect company´s performance and success internationally. The report concludes with a recommendation for a Joint-Venture with Qatar Foundation to the case study´s firm. es_ES
