Por un turismo solidario. Propuestas para un plan de colaboración de turismo solidario: "Living UPV"

Abstract

En el presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado se estudia la posibilidad de iniciar un acuerdo de colaboración entre la Asociación Living Meki y la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Campus de Gandía). El turismo solidario es el gran olvidado en cuanto a tipología de turismo se refiere. Por este motivo se ha intentado promover a Living Meki a la vez que se ha realizado un análisis para conocer las opciones que hay de formalizar un convenio entre dichas dos entidades. Esta asociación no sólo lleva a cabo una serie de actividades en la población de Meki (Etiopía), sino que también ofrece formación de voluntariados, además de dar la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia fantástica conociendo otras culturas mediante el beneficio y satisfacción de ayudar a gente que lo necesita. Por otra parte, se ha creído necesaria la colaboración del Campus porque no hay mejor entidad que una universidad para aportar sus propios espacios del recinto, materiales y/o conocimientos tanto para el voluntariado como para la población de Meki. En definitiva y sin ninguna duda, se deben de especificar una serie de propuestas, como podemos comprobar al final del trabajo, en las que ambas entidades pudieran trabajar codo con codo y aumentar los recursos de quienes no tienen recursos.

This Final Project thesis explores the possibility of a collaboration agreement between the Association Living Meki and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Gandia Campus). Solidarity tourism is the great forgotten in terms of typology of tourism. For this reason we are trying to promote Living Meki while at the same time that we have done an analysis to know the options that there is to formalize an agreement between such two entities. This partnership not only carries out a series of activities in the town of Meki (Ethiopia), but it also provides training for volunteers, in addition to give the opportunity to live a fantastic experience getting to know other cultures through the benefit and satisfaction of helping to needy people. On the other hand, is believed necessary the collaboration of the Campus because there is no better organization than a University to contribute with their own spaces of the site, materials or expertise for volunteering like for the population of Meki. Ultimately and without any doubt, must be specified a series of proposals, as well we can check at the end of the project, in which both entities could work side by side and increase the resources of those who doesn't has resources.
