La pintura residual: construyendo una mirada pictórica

Abstract

[EN] The purpose of this work is to display the make up of a pictorial glance over the set up of the daily life. The concept of “residual paint” as the basis of this work comes through a dual track. On one hand, working with the uncompleted, with fragments, with residue, with remains. On the other hand, I have called “residual paint” to diverse artistic expressions that I have been making apart from the academic work on behalf of the whole idea of paint which I used to conceive. Other fundamental concepts are: the derive, the minimal intervention, the pictorial glance, the ludic and the wabi-sabi. All of these concepts are interrelated and are key to understand the work. The pictorial and non-pictorial referents that have guided me in the development of this Master's Thesis will be also settled forth.

[ES] El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar la construcción de una mirada pictórica sobre el entorno de la vida cotidiana. El concepto de “pintura residual” como fundamento de este trabajo llega a través de una doble vía. Por una parte, trabajar con lo inacabado, con fragmentos, con residuos, con restos. Por otro lado, he llamado “pintura residual” a diversas expresiones artísticas que yo realizaba al margen del trabajo académico, de espaldas a la idea de pintura que yo tenía concebida. Otros conceptos fundamentales son: la deriva, la mínima intervención, la mirada periférica, lo lúdico y el wabi-sabi. Todos estos conceptos están interrelacionados y son necesarios para entender la obra.
