dc.description.abstract | [EN] Gold is a metal known and used by man since time immemorial, from its use as metal itself, such as currency, jewelry and sculptural objects, up to become sheets of gold in the world of ornamentation and decoration. The use of gold by artists permeates the work of a divine character. Therefore, from the discipline of the Conservation and Restoration is necessary the search for a scientific analysis that allows to discover aspects not included in the study of the gold leaf as constituent material of a work. This research focuses on the study of the gold leaf, depending on their manufacture and application through the selection and valuation of essential aspects of a restorative process. In this way, it tackles a new concept, the carat kingdom to the alloys, which are formed with various metals, to create the gold leaf as one of the aspects to incorporate the time to develop the intervention of a work. The work has been addressed from a scientific point of view but also from a historical approach, artistic, critical and aesthetic, which provide the necessary basis for a restore. Therefore, the selection of the material must be adapted to the work, because the intention is to achieve an overview of the same. You must evaluate the aesthetic aspect in response to the scientific results obtained on the sheet of gold that is in the works, with the purpose of selecting a material of gold that suits both in value according to the carat as in color based on the alloy. | es_ES |
