dc.description.abstract | [EN] This is mainly a practical project where the building process of four motion- enhanced interactive sculptures is described. It talks about A-life, an iron spikes ball with an irregular shape; Dodecahedron, a 140 cm in diameter geometrical wooden piece hanging from the ceiling; Shy Ball, a paper-mache-coated expanded polystyrene ball lying on the floor, and Watering Can, an ordinary watering can that has been modified, lying on the floor too. These sculptures are able to react to the touch, to detect the presence of the spectator, to make sounds, to move, to vibrate or to write messages, and that is how they interact with the audience and how they manage to induce reactions from humans. In the same way, methodology is based on the use of devices, technological components, sensors and the Arduino controller board in order to allow motion to the objects so they seem alive in the eyes of the spectator. The motivation leading to this project is to think about the relationship bet - ween the piece and the spectator, who turns into an active subject and whose role is key to the conceptuality of the piece; and also to experiment with electronics and robotics applied to diverse materials and shapes, aiming at allowing the objects to show human-like feelings and abilities | es_ES |
| es_ES |
