This work is located in the context of the acoustic investigation in the building. The acoustics rules in this area, cause companies and individuals proposed new materials.
This study is associated with the national project BIAEFIREMAT ¿Development of new eco-materials and sustainable constructive solutions based on the use of waste and renewable raw materials in building acoustics¿, in which new composite materials are being developed. These are sustainable substitutes for light elements used in building.
The main contribution of the work is the vibroacoustic study of natural tissue plates and biodegradable resins, allowing the investigation of the mechanical modeling of these, to achieve new solutions in acoustic insulation. Young¿s modulus is calculated by three different methods to provide a comparison between them and to determine a value. The loss factor is also calculated and a prediction of acoustic insulation will be made with the mechanical parameters obtained.
This study aims to show that there is a viable alternative isolation using biodegradable materials, with the advantage that it helps the environment
