dc.description El artículo aborda la dialéctica entre arbitrariedad y causalidad como conceptos relevantes en el debate sobre las razones de la forma arquitectónica, presentando a la luz del mismo la experiencia de Frei Otto como aportación ejemplificadora. Se van perfilando cuestiones como la controversia entre diseño digital y experimentación física, la relación entre arquitectura y naturaleza o el debate entre naturalismo y abstracción, y se contrastan diferentes teorías exploradoras de la lógica interna de la forma como las planteadas por Paul Klee, Iakov Chernijov o Luigi Pareyson. es_ES
dc.description.abstract The article addresses the polarity between arbitrariness and causality as relevant concepts in the debate about the genesis and the reasons of architectural form. In this context the experience of Frei Otto is presented as an exemplifying contribution. Different issues outline along the text, such as the controversy between digital design and physical experimentation, the relationship between architecture and nature or the debate between naturalism and abstraction, and various theories exploring the internal logic of form are examined, such as those raised by Paul Klee, Iakov Chernijov or Luigi Pareyson. es_ES
