Plan local de prevención de incendios forestales del término municipal de Xert (Castellón)

Abstract

[ES] Los incendios forestales representan una gran amenaza en la Comunidad Valenciana, la recurrencia de estos representa un problema muy grave para la conservación del territorio y la regeneración natural del medio. Además el abandono rural que se está produciendo en las zonas de interior propicia la acumulación de mayor cantidad de biomasa y por tanto, aumenta el riesgo de sufrir Grandes Incendios Forestales (GIF) que puedan suponer mayor riesgo para la población. Por todo ello y por los antecedentes en cuanto a GIF existentes en el municipio de Xert, se propone el presente Plan Local de Prevención de Incendios Forestales (PLPIF) cuya finalidad es disminuir el riesgo de incendios. Esto se consigue a través de la zonificación del territorio y la existencia de infraestructuras de prevención y de apoyo a la extinción. En este aspecto también se tiene que tener en cuenta la importancia de la concienciación de los habitantes para evitar malas prácticas asociadas al territorio o posibles negligencias. Las medidas y actuaciones planteadas concretan las directrices establecidas en el Plan de Prevención de Incendios Forestales de la Demarcación de Sant Mateu y siguen sus directrices para lograr la homogeneidad entre los diferentes PLPIF.

[EN] Forest fires pose a great threat in the Valencian Community, the recurrence of these represents a very serious problem for the conservation of the territory and the natural regeneration of the environment. In addition, the rural abandonment that is occurring in the interior areas leads to the accumulation of more biomass and therefore increases the risk of suffering from Large Forest Fires that may pose greater risk to the population. Because of these Large Forest Fires in the municipality of Xert, we propose a Local Forest Fire Prevention Plan (PLPIF) with the purpose to reduce the risk of fires. This is achieved through the zoning of the territory and the craetion of infrastructures for prevention and support to extinction. We also need to take into account the importance of the awareness of the inhabitants, to avoid bad practices associated with the territory or possible negligence. The proposed measures and actions establish the guidelines for the Forest Fire Prevention Plan of the Sant Mateu Demarcation and set out to follow its guidelines to achieve homogeneity between different PLPIF.
