Abstract

The goals of this project are: - To define terms for culture shock, adaptation, and student success - To determine biographical information of international students such as, rank (freshmen, sophomore, etc.), ethnic group, age, major, native language and time in the U.S. - To analyze first impressions of international students upon arrival to their respective campuses, and why they selected to study in one the campuses in Kenosha, Wisconsin - To identify the level of international students’ involvement in student activities, campus community and local community - To identity the level of international student interaction with American students - To determine international student expectations prior to student arrival in Kenosha - To determine the level of international student satisfaction with campus life, professors, and services - To determine areas of concerns for the international students.
