PROYECTO DE ÁLBUM ILUSTRADO: AUSENTES

Abstract

The current work constitutes the culmination of four years of studies and the learning of techniques and theories within the fine arts. A tribute to memory in every sense, serves to agglomerate the knowledge acquired during this stage and put it into practice. Therefore, I have tried to use as a tool to develop this project the codes of illustration as visual language and communication in graphic design, but also all the notions learned from the beginning of my studies in terms of color, proportion, drawing, composition , etc. This work summarizes the project of creating an illustrated album accompanied by a series of stationery articles for an adult audience. The work is based on the memories and stories that were told in a relaxed atmosphere of conversation by different people in the ¿Alzheimer Cafe¿ of the Walloon region in Belgium. The purpose of the project is to diffuse the testimony of these people who, at times, seem to have been forgotten, dismissed, in the same way that their mind dismiss their memories. At the same time, I had the aim to create a supportive product in association with an organisation whose pourpose is to give support to relatives and people with Alzheimer. Throughout the document it is developed and explained both the concept and the aims that are intended to be achieved with it, as well as the projection, in terms of methodology and techniques, used to achieve the proposed objectives.

El presente trabajo constituye el colofón a cuatro años de estudios y aprendizaje de técnicas y teoría en el marco de las bellas artes. Un tributo a la memoria en todos los sentidos, sirve para aglomerar los conocimientos adquiridos durante esta etapa y ponerlos en práctica. Por tanto, he procurado emplear como herramientas para desarrollar este proyecto los códigos de la ilustración como lenguaje visual y la comunicación en el diseño gráfico, pero también todas las nociones aprendidas desde el inicio de mis estudios en cuanto a color, proporción, dibujo, composición, etc. Este trabajo resume el proyecto de creación de un álbum ilustrado acompañado de una serie de artículos de papelería dirigidos a un público adulto. Para ello se ha partido, principalmente de los recuerdos e historias relatadas en un ambiente distendido, de conversación, por diferentes personas en los ¿Alzheimer Café¿ de la región Valona, en Bélgica. El fin del proyecto es dar difusión al testimonio de estas personas que, en ocasiones, parecen haber sido olvidadas, desechadas, de la misma manera que su cerebro elimina sus recuerdos. A la vez, crear un producto solidario en colaboración con una asociación de apoyo a familiares y a personas que padecen Alzheimer. A lo largo del documento se desarrolla y explica tanto el concepto y los fines que se pretenden conseguir con él, como la proyección en cuanto a metodología y técnicas que se utilizaron para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos
