LA PINTURA EN EL ESPACIO PÚBLICO: CREACIÓN DE UNA IMAGEN

Abstract

Currently, the number of images that reach our retinas has increased over last times. The trivialization of virtually any fact is common in the society in which we live. Sensitivity is something you develop over the years to find small sketches of lucidity that minimally exalt our esthetic necessity. Observation as a first step gives us the opportunity to discover something interesting that motivates us to explore and investigate. The paint should drink of each situation, and therefore the public space, that we visited every day but we call it ¿step¿ seems a perfect starting point. In every place of our cities we find painting with a single goal: utility. This is totally opposed to the idea of painting in the world of art, and therefore I see necessary an approach to this type of graphics and signs that roam our streets. Also, I see fit to observe the relationships and influences that can contribute to my artistic production.

En la actualidad, la cantidad de imágenes que alcanzan nuestras retinas se ha incrementado con respecto tiempo pasados. La banalización de prácticamente cualquier hecho es algo común en la sociedad en la que vivimos. La sensibilidad es algo a desarrollar para encontrar en estos años pequeños esbozos de lucidez que enaltezcan mínimamente nuestra necesidad estética. La observación como primer paso nos ofrece la posibilidad de descubrir algo interesante que nos motive a explorar e indagar. La pintura debe beber de cada situación actual, y por ello el espacio público, aquel que visitamos día tras día pero lo llamamos ¿de paso¿, me parece un punto de partida excepcional. En cada lugar de nuestras ciudades encontramos pintura con un único objetivo: utilidad. Es algo totalmente opuesto a la concepción que se permite la pintura dentro del mundo del arte, y por ello veo conveniente un acercamiento a este tipo de grafismos y signos que recorren nuestras calles, así como la observación de las relaciones e influencias que puedan aportar a mi producción artística.
