LA INVISIBILIDAD Y LA PERCEPCIÓN DIRIGIDA (MANIPULADA) COMO CONSTRUCTORES DE IMAGINARIOS EN EL TRÁNSITO DE LO REAL A LO VIRTUAL. LA NECESIDAD DE LA MIRADA PERIFÉRICA

Abstract

[EN] This proposal, designed for the option of artistic production, is a reactive audiovisual installation, which enables an approximation to three issues. On the one hand contemplates the invisibility through physical optical paraxials; on the other reflects on the difficulties inherent in our perception and its possible manipulation in the construction of imaginaries, through the distortion of the projection of the figure of the spectator; and also deals with the change of plane between the real and the virtual, transfering the spectator from one to another level, whose separation today are still questioning specialists in Media Art as Claudia Gianetti and neurologists as Humberto Maturana. The installation symbolizes the manipulation of the images and by extension of the information, to guide our perception, making it difficult to view of certain realities or part of the same. This raises the utility to focus our attention on the margins of the vision and ideas, instead of responding to what is presented as central. Also puts into question the participation of the citizenry in apparent democratic systems, as well as in decision-making and the construction of our societies.

[ES] Este propuesta, concebida para la opción de producción artística, es una instalación audiovisual reactiva, que posibilita una aproximación a tres cuestiones. Por un lado contempla la invisibilidad física a través de ópticas paraxiales; por otro reflexiona sobre las dificultades connaturales de nuestra percepción y su posible manipulación en la construcción de imaginarios, mediante la distorsión de la proyección de la figura del espectador; y también aborda el cambio de plano entre lo real y lo virtual, trasvasando al espectador de uno a otro plano, cuya separación hoy siguen cuestionando especialistas en Media Art como Claudia Gianetti y neurólogos como Humberto Maturana: "En nuestra experiencia no podemos distinguir entre percepción y lo que llamamos ilusión". (Maturana, 1996, 105)La instalación simboliza la manipulación que se hace de las imágenes y por extensión de la información, para orientar nuestra percepción, dificultando la visión de ciertas realidades o parte de las mismas. Se plantea así la utilidad de focalizar nuestra atención en los márgenes de la visión y de las ideas, en lugar de atender a aquello que nos es presentado como central. Igualmente cuestiona la participación de la ciudadania en aparentes sistemas democráticos, así como en la toma de decisiones y la construcción de nuestras sociedades.
