Huellas en el tiempo. Grandes tipos móviles de madera

Abstract

[EN] The manufacture and use of large wooden movable types had its purpose for the typographic companies, in the 19 th and 20 th Century. This present work tries to highlight the importance and value of wooden movable types, big in size, that fortunately were saved from being abandoned. are still in use, movable and available in the workshop of typography at the Faculty of BB.AA., of the UPV of Valencia, that are part of the Degree course in Fine Arts and the Master of Artistic Production.

[ES] La fabricación y empleo de grandes tipos móviles de madera tuvo su razón de ser para las empresas tipográficas, en un momento determinado de los siglos XIX y XX. En el presente trabajo, se intenta poner en valor y relevancia a un conjunto de tipos móviles de madera, de tamaño grande, que afortunadamente fueron rescatados de su abandono. Se hayan en uso, vivos y disponibles para su empleo en el taller de tipografía, de la Facultad de BB.AA., de UPV de Valencia, por parte de los estudiantes que cursan asignaturas de Grado en BB.AA. y Máster de Producción Artística.
