PROYECCIONES DE VIDEO MAPPING EN EL CABANYAL, INTERFERENCIAS DESDE EL ARTE EN LA CIUDAD EN CONFLICTO

Abstract

[EN] The district of Cabanyal in Valencia has become in recent years in a case study of how the new dynamics of citizen participation in the management of their own living space, your neighborhood, your street, have face d the dynamics the hegemonic power of the cities. Power represented by the political classes in t he service or in connivance with the economic power, which so far have been the shapers of today’s cities. In this context the mobilization in the Cabanyal has be en accompanied and supported by the commitment of man y artists making common cause with citizens in a conflict that develops continuously from 19 98 to the present. Within these artistic practices, proposals to transform the urban scene in screen projections videography address and renew the art audience interaction. On the occasion of the celebration of festivals and Cabanyal Portes Obertes, Cabanyal Intim several sessions were held videomapping projection, Latent weapons, the collective Niño Viejo in 2011, Voices of the Cabanyal Collective Untitled in 2013 and Il.luminant el Cabanyal 2014 and 2015, with the participation of several groups of students in the Master of Visual Arts and Multimedia at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, discussed in this paper.

[ES] El barrio d el Cabanyal en Valencia se ha convertido en los últimos años en u n caso de estudio de como las nuevas dinámicas de la participación de la ciudadanía en la gestión de su propio espacio vital, su barrio, su calle, se han enfrentado a las dinámicas del poder hegemónico de las ciudades. Poder representado por las clases políticas al servicio, o en connivencia con el poder económico, que han sido hasta el momento los configuradores de las ciudades actuales. En este contexto la movilización ciudadana en el Cabanyal ha estado acompañada y apoyada por el compromiso de numerosos artistas haciendo causa común con la ciudadanía en un conflicto que se desarrolla ininterrumpidamente desde 1998 hasta la actualidad. Dentro de estas prácticas artísticas, las propuestas de transformar el escenario urbano en pantalla de proyecciones videogáficas abordan y renuevan la interacción arte audiencia. Con motivo de la celebración de los festivales Cabanyal Intim y Cabanyal Portes Obertes se realizaron varias sesiones de proyección de videomapping, Armas latentes, del colectivo Niño Viejo en 2011, Voces del Cabanyal del colectivo Untitled en 2013 e Il.luminant el Cabanyal 2014 y 2015 con la participación de varios colectivos de alumnos del Máster de Artes Visuales y Multimedia de la Universitat Politècnica de València, que analizamos en este ensayo.
