[EN] The configuration of the social network of knowledge transfer in digital transformation (DT) in the Andalusian olive sector is analysed using Social Network Analysis techniques. The results indicate that universities and technology companies are the main knowledge emitting agents, while olive growers and cooperatives are the main receiving agents. The social network of DT has a high potential for the creation of social capital, however, most of the interactions established between actors are of very low intensity, which could lead to some actors being isolated from knowledge in DT.

[EN] This work is a methodological proposal for the construction of synthetic sustainability index for dairy cattle farms in Cantabria. By means of principal component factor analysis, we obtain 12 indicators, 4 for each dimension (economic, environmental and social) that allow to create three synthetic indexes and a global index. Dimensions that reach the highest scores are environmental and social. Furthermore, we observe a direct relationship between global sustainability and the productive size, which, however, we did not detect for the environmental dimension but we do have in the social and economic.

[EN] Recent developments in innovation policy have challenged the initial assumptions of Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3), initially aimed at promoting innovation for regional growth. In response to the United Nations Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the new S3 seeks to address social and sustainable development challenges. The present study sets out to propose an extension of one of these reformed S3 approaches to a multilevel governance setting. The study will propose a governance model suitable to support innovation in the blue bioeconomy those economic activities related to the living resources at sea , in the Mediterranean.

Implantación de márgenes multifuncionales en los cultivos herbáceos de secano. Análisis de la disposición a aceptar de los agricultores andaluces

[EN] The multifunctional margins are strips of the field with spontaneous or cultivated vegetation, which enhances biodiversity. This practice is included in an agri-environmental measure in Andalusia for rainfed herbaceous crops, and it is compatible with future eco-schemes. To assess farmers willingness to implement this practice, a double-bonded dichotomous-choice contingent valuation model is used, carried out from a telephonic survey. The obtained farmers willingness to accept is higher than the amount expected in the current measure, which has implications for policy design.

The role of infrastructures in rural depopulation. An econometric analysis
(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2022-12-23) Cañal-Fernández, Verónica; Álvarez, Antonio
[EN] The aim of this article is to contribute to the analysis of the causes of rural depopulation and, particularly, the role of infrastructures. We build a panel data set with the 78 municipalities of a region in Northern Spain, Asturias. We estimate an econometric model where rural population is explained by a set of economic and infrastructure variables as well as some characteristics of the municipalities. The main results show the importance of infrastructures to maintain rural population. The presence of a medium size town in the municipality helps to fix the population in the countryside. However, the income gap with urban municipalities contributes to reduce rural population.

Hacia una gobernanza marco y multinivel de la Política Agrícola Común post 2023: un análisis institucionalista
(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2022-12-23) Massot Marti, Albert
[EN] This paper examines the main inter-institutional factors that framed the post 2023 CAP reform process and will condition its future implementation: 1) the new CAP delivery model adopted; 2) the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027; 3) the European Green Deal and its agri-food and agri-environmental legislative appendices; and 4) the long-term vision for EU s rural areas tabled by the European Commission. The analysis concludes that this reform outlines a new framework and multilevel CAP 3.0 governance, which will be developed in the forthcoming reforms.
