[EN] Creative project of an artistic nature. Creation of an image around a perception of plant nature, based on the study of huge leaves and water lilies that emerge from the Shinobazu pond in Tokyo. Process that starts from a photographic image transferred to woodcut on a soft-carving and resistant foamed PVC support. The image is structured with colored pulps that help define the contours of the planes and is stamped to delimit the image drawing. The process is complemented with two results of two very different images starting from the same matrix, experimenting with different stamping processes. In addition to give a more concrete, and at the same time open, vision of the process. [EN] In the following essay I will approach pictorial research from my painting logs, in which the creation process of these last years is materialized. The painting logs or books are the place where artists try to leave a record of their processes, to write down their ideas, it is an intimate place of creation. I will approach this by reflecting on artistic practice and its phases. I will approach the logbook from my notebooks, in which I try to study the forms, materialities, representations of the body. The sketchbooks are transformed into a container of time, making and the unique gesture that brings us closer to the interior of the artistic research itself. [EN] Starting from the premise: in nature there is no straight line, we connect two anachronistic scientific artists, Leonardo da Vinci and Stanley William Hayter, who made the experience their own hallmark, applying to his works the knowledge acquired in the field of geology. For them, there is a universal law that involves all aspects of nature and that graphically manifests as a curved line. Leonardo insists on representing the invisible forces, and circularity is evident in his drawings. Four hundred years later, Hayter with a burin on a copper plate creates a natural universe governed by that same law. Alluding to the vitality of the body of the earth as a macrocosm, Leonardo puts in relation the microcosm and the natural world; a paragon that has served as a model to link the technique of engraving of Hayter from the study of the Tuscan master. Our proposal is based on the fact that this affinity is not the result of chance, but of the transmission of a written memory .Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Perec/rinations: paisajes de una memoria colectiva(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2020-12-31) Díaz, Yunuen[EN] This work is a study of the book Perec/rinations (1997), a compilation of crossword puzzles and verbal games published by the writer Georges Perec between 1980 and 1981, when he was working for the magazine Télérama. These are exercises where the author unfolds a series of poetic itineraries about the city of Paris that can be understood as memory projects. To carry out this analysis I will use the concept of idiolect (language created by the artist) formulated by Umberto Eco in the book The Absent Structure (1986) to show how memory, space and language meet in the verbal games of Georges Perec.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Paleoarte europeo. [EN] Images are one of the most powerful means through visual language transmits messages that are unconsciously based on the identity of each person, after a passive and lasting reception especially in the children s collective . An example of this impact is found in Disney animated film productions. Likewise, human situations deteriorate the environment and indirectly affect those who execute them are noted as problematic. Taking advantage of the importance given to education in values for the preservation of nature in the childhood stage, it is proposed to analyze Disney audiovisual productions from an environmental position, to offer brushstrokes to develop artistic activities on the care of the environment in Infant Education classrooms. Moreover, this production company is compared to its eastern competition, Studio Ghibli. [EN] The execution of the drawing refers to the material handling and the technical ability to achieve a type of graphic representation, according to the limits of a given support. In the observation of a person in the drawing, they acquire a different problem once that cannot be seen later, or that may be the last moment. When the physical appearances of a person are observed, these can be a motive strongly inscribed in the feelings of the cartoonist according to the affective bond with whom it is drawn. That moment in time and shared space of a place to look and draw someone, make up a subject such as the portrait, where the executions of the drawing can be analyzed, according to the limitations of the materials at that time, and the circumstances of life or death of the loved one, since they can determine not only the technical handling, but the affective tone to achieve a forceful effect on their physical appearance in a short moment of time. [EN] The constant hybridizations and transfers between media have substantially conditioned the study of literature in the last years and have contributed to expanding its boundaries and its expectations. Thus, the consolidation of the performance as an influential modality has left its traces throughout the media spectrum, significantly transforming the traditional understanding of genres and improving the mixture between diverse media systems. This is attested by the appearance of perfopoetry as an interstitial practice based on the ritual and spectacular nature of the poetic language and on the discomfort with the usual theoretical ways. In this regard, Lola Nieto s work constitutes a privileged place from which to think about these interactions between poetry and performance, and has become a fundamental proposal whose location always borders the limits of genre/gender, canon and territory. [EN] Drawing, beyond being an expressive language in the artistic field, can be the channel through which our graphic thought materializes. As such, there are multiple functions we can find in it, especially when it comes to being the instrument capable of shaping those first shapeless ideas, which we cannot define in words in a first state. But it is also the way in which we can put our minds in order and land concepts that, in the first instance, we do not even know what they mean.In the content that follows, presented references explain in a reflective and theoretical way the topic that concerns us in contrast to visual material related to it.Language and graphic thought go hand in hand through drawing, in the gestation of projects that need to be transmitted and understood by those who develop them, although they do not always get materialized. [EN] This work talks about how we could use artistic practice as a visual-aesthetic methodology to respond critically to the spectacle society and the crisis of dimensional man in the era of social networks. It is through a multidisciplinary series that we have found ways to slow down the speed with which we see - feel the images, a process that has led us to identify it as an affective-political route to recover the gaze understood as that which links our subjectivity to the world. Likewise, it reflects on the effects of social networks on our sensitivity to photography.Although authors such as Guy Debord and Herbert Marcuse do not appear directly as theoretical references in the text, their presence and vitality are active in visual studies positioned from the legacy of a critical theory that is increasingly necessary in the face of the crisis that the gaze crosses in a it was where ocularcentrism predominates and in it the various visuality regimes to which, precisely, this work seeks to respond from an anti-visual and post-photographic position are configured. The result of the research is a body of work that starts from anti-visual aesthetics to propose strategies to recover the gaze and slow down time. [EN] Our current educational model is still based on reason and cognitive thinking linked to judgment and competitiveness in the face of teaching where humor and playfulness have a greater place. Through playing with materials and techniques, the intuition and fantasy of the human being develops, connecting with symbols of totality that help us to become aware to perceive and recognize our environment, art being a means to establish new relationships with this world and power. represent it not only intellectually and superficially and externally but also looking for its true meaning. In this article we will see how the playful experience integrates not only the expressive and emotional needs of the child but also those of the adult artist, since through the subjectivity that is generated with play and laughter we would open ourselves to greater possibilities of knowledge and realization, awakening the intuition and imagination that are the real powers and promoters of experimentation and creation.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Imagen 3D con huellas 2D(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2020-12-31) Ferré Ferri, Enrique[EN] The printing press lived through a golden period, during the period of time elapsed from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, with the creation and design of many families of typographic characters and making its image more attractive to the attention of readers, capturing the attention of the general public, the impact of audiovisual media came later. To achieve three-dimensional effects on the paper, the design of complementary characters in wood was started, to later achieve the same effect with a unique character in cast ironItem type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , El fuera de campo pictórico a través de la obra de Sassetta. [EN] The relationship between the cinematographic image and the off-screen has been close and full of possibilities since the birth of cinema. In painting, however, this relationship is much more complicated, showing a large amount of limitations. This paper is intended to study and defend the existence of a pictorial off-screen. To prove this theory, we have selected two paintings of the Sienese painter Sassetta. His work, close to the International Gothic style and the Renaissance one as well, stablishes a close relationship with the space beyond the limits of the picture. This way, Sassetta s work has become a key element in a context where the calls to this non-seen space were especially rare. A brief study of the off-screen in Quattrocento painting will help us realize the importance of Sassetta s work. Thus, we intend to defend, as done by Jacques Aumont or Pascal Bonitzer, the existence of an off-screen purely pictorial. [EN] This work focuses on the visual narratives generated from images captured by art education students, as a result of projects developed in the Teaching classrooms during different academic years. In them intervenes, at first, the gaze of the students as visual producers through portable devices, mainly mobile phones, in educational environments between 2011 and 2017. The images were captured at different chronological moments and materialized on the university campuses of Ontinyent and Dels Tarongers, from the Faculty of Education. The work theoretically approximates the method of Research Based on the Arts. The images produced by the students are composed by the author and researcher to create visual narratives. The proposal invites reflection on the evolution in the use of mobile phones as an educational tool in artistic environments and, indirectly, implies an approach to the aesthetic quality of the educational environments of the Faculty of Teaching of the University of Valencia. [EN] In the 1990s, people began to talk about post-photography, a hypothetical new aesthetic and conceptual category associated with the internet and digital technology. According to some authors, the birth of post-photography supposes the death of photography, creating two opposed and supposedly incompatible categories. However, there are also authors who deny the break, betting on a continuity in the photographic medium. Meanwhile, artistic practice shows that reality is rich and complex, being able to speak of several photographs.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , La narrativa como recurso metodológico dinamizador del aprendizaje(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2020-12-31) Yáñez Martínez, Mª Begoña[EN] The story is an ideal way to expose information and knowledge through a fun and playful methodology. Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of transmission of knowledge and is also a method to generate in the listener a personalized learning that will help solving your own problems. The myth supposes a universal teaching that adapts to cultures and times. For all this, the narrative (textual and visual) is a methodological resource applicable to the work in the classroom, for the development of motivation and gamification strategies in the presentation of the contents and the elaboration of practical proposals. In this article we present three narrative proposals for educational purposes: the journey of the hero, the didactic story and the board games. To understand their narrative keys and their capacity for the development of meaningful learning, we will work on concrete examples in each proposal.
